Newly formed Alvechurch Lions had mixed fortunes in their first two competitive games, with a closely fought draw in the league against Oakenshaw followed by a storming 7-0 victory against Millfields Boca Juniors in the WA Harris Cup. 

In awful conditions on Sunday, Lions wasted several chances before Haycock finally took his shot/goal ratio to 20:1, Dove hit 2, goals for Callaghan, the impressive Beard, Ottley and Whitaker completed the scoring.

Next Sunday Lions travel to Millfields for a league game, 10.30am kick off at Charford Road Playing fields, opposite Morrisons Bromsgrove. Please be there 10am prompt.
